Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 14 May, 2026. Review our rules regarding service cancellations, monthly pauses, and refund eligibility.

Thank you for partnering with Builtin. We strive to deliver state-of-the-art designs and clean code for every project. Because of the nature of digital design, custom development, and domain/server registry costs, please review our refund and cancellation policy below.

1. Monthly Subscription Cancellations

For all subscription-based packages (Static, Dynamic, and E-Commerce monthly plans):

  • Cancel at Any Time: You can cancel or pause your monthly subscription at any time. There are no lock-in contracts, minimum terms, or cancellation fees.
  • Billing Cycle Completion: Once you request a cancellation, your service will remain active, and your website will stay live until the end of your current billing month. The site will go offline once the paid cycle ends.
  • No Prorated Refunds: We do not offer partial or prorated refunds for cancellation requests submitted in the middle of a active billing cycle.

2. One-Time Web Design Packages

For standard fixed-cost website development projects (One-time pricing tiers):

  • Project Milestone Refunds: Standard fixed projects are split into milestones (typically 50% advance / 50% final launch approval). Advance deposits are fully refundable if requested **before** our design team starts mockups or coding.
  • In-Progress Work: Once development has commenced or custom design assets have been created (regardless of whether they have been reviewed by the client), the initial advance deposit becomes non-refundable.
  • Post-Launch: Once a project has been completed, approved, and hosted live, no refunds can be requested.

3. Non-Refundable Expenses

Certain third-party registry and setup costs are completely non-refundable once initiated. These include:

  • Custom domain name registrations (e.g. purchasing your `.com` or `.in` domain address).
  • Third-party premium graphics, font licenses, or custom paid icons purchased specifically for your project.
  • Commercial API integrations or payment gateways setup charges.

4. Late Payments & Domain Expiry

If a monthly subscription payment is not settled within 7 days of the invoice due date, we will pause hosting services and take the website offline. If the subscription remains unpaid for more than 45 days, Builtin reserves the right to terminate the account, cancel domain renewals, and permanently delete the website files from our backup systems.
